Stephon Bishop, a Brooklyn native and the self-proclaimed “People’s Champ,” is a powerhouse in the world of comedy and entertainment. From an early age, Bishop knew he had a gift for making people laugh, drawing inspiration from his comedy idol, Eddie Murphy. His natural charisma led him to the national spotlight, where he first showcased his quick wit on MTV's hit show “Yo Mamma”, a high-stakes battleground for comedic jabs and sharp retorts.

Bishop didn’t stop there. He sharpened his acting chops by studying the Meisner technique at the prestigious William Esper Studio and mastered long-form improv at the renowned Upright Citizens Brigade. His talents extend beyond the stage, as he turned his life experiences into relatable, uproarious material, finding his true voice in stand-up comedy. Known for captivating audiences with his magnetic charm, Bishop effortlessly weaves humor into his reflections on fatherhood and life’s challenges.

A visionary entrepreneur, Bishop founded Son of a Bish Productions, a family-run company behind the wildly popular “STASH Comedy Show” and “In The STASH Podcast”. Since its inception in 2016, “The STASH Comedy Show” has become a staple of the NYC comedy scene, producing over 100 shows and solidifying Bishop as a major force in comedy. His talents have graced the stages of iconic venues like The Stand, Union Hall, Caroline’s, EastVille Comedy Club, The Grisly Pear, City Winery, and St. Marks Comedy Club, while his performances have spanned major cities such as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta, Miami, Oakland, and Philadelphia.

Bishop’s versatility as an actor also shines through his co-starring role in “Connected”, a short film directed by MC Jin that explores cultural identity and was featured at the 40th Asian American International Film Festival. When he’s not dominating the comedy scene or the screen, you can find him running in Prospect Park,  getting schooled by his son in NBA 2K or outsmarting him in a game of chess.
